Enjoy a guided walking pub tour with the London Pub Explorer through the backstreets of historic South London.

The walk, taking a little over four hours, will visit four traditional community pubs.

Come along to meet some of the Guv’nors, hear their stories and enjoy a few drinks in authentic backstreet boozers full of charm and history

This walk includes commentary from the LPE with a sprinkling of history, architecture, analysis of south London pub culture that provides a window into local pub life.

Please note that this is strictly an adult’s tour, and every ticket holder must be over 18. Children, including babes in arms, pushchairs, buggies or strollers are
NOT permitted. The pubs we will be visiting do not allow minors. If you are fortunate enough to look youthful, please bring some ID with you.

Other than guide dogs, animals are unfortunately not permitted.

Tour meeting location:

Outside Greenwich DLR and National Rail station.

Exit the station and turn right and meet outside the Novotel Hotel: 173-185 Greenwich High Rd, London SE10 8JA

Turn left as you exit the station and take the first left into Major Road. Congregate on this road by the side of the Local Express shop

Maximum tour walking time 40 minutes

By purchasing a ticket for an LPE pub walking tour, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:

  • Once a ticket has been purchased, it is non-refundable or transferable.

  • The tour goes ahead regardless of the weather. No refunds due to inclement weather are given. The walk will depart promptly at the advertised time & will not wait for late-comers. In the event that a ticket holder misses the walk no refund will be given. You are strongly urged to check TfL in advance for weekend engineering works that may affect your journey.

  • The London Pub Explorer holds public liability insurance, but the organiser shall not be held responsible for accidents, injury, loss or damage to persons or property as a consequence of participation on a walking tour

  • Each ticket holder is responsible for their own safety during the tour and is expected to remain vigilant when crossing roads, entering and exiting venues and consuming alcohol.

  • The operator reserves the right to cancel the tour if under 15 tickets are sold. In the unlikely event this occurs a full refund will be offered or the chance to transfer the ticket to another tour.
